Terms of Service

The service

LearningTo ("the service") is a free, browser-based tool for practicing coding interview skills. It includes visual explanations, practice challenges that run in your browser, and AI-assisted feedback. The service is provided as it exists today; features may be added, changed, or removed as the product evolves.

If we ever introduce paid plans or paid content, the price and what it includes will be presented clearly before you buy, and these terms will describe the billing terms at that time. The core practice content is free today and this page will always state what is free and what is not.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. You may sign up with an email address or through Google or GitHub. You can stop using the service and request account deletion at any time.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, including attempts to disrupt it for others, automated scraping, or excessive automated use of the AI features. See the Privacy Policy for how unverified accounts are handled.

Your code and content

Code you write while using the service remains yours. You grant us a limited license to store and process it as needed to provide the features you use, such as saving progress and generating AI feedback. We do not publish your code or claim ownership of it.

Please do not paste secrets, API keys, or confidential material into the editor or the tutor chat. Code is stored as described in the Privacy Policy and is sent to an AI provider when you use AI features.

Our content

The lessons, challenges, visualizations, and other content on the service are owned by the operator of learningto.co. You may use them for your own learning. You may not republish, resell, or systematically copy the content without permission.

AI features

AI-generated feedback, hints, and explanations are educational aids and can be wrong or incomplete. They are not professional advice and are not a guarantee of interview results. Use your own judgment when evaluating anything the AI produces.

Emails

By creating an account you agree to receive emails needed to operate your account, such as address confirmation. Marketing emails, such as a newsletter, are sent only if you explicitly opt in, and every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to attack or disrupt the site, to build a competing dataset by automated extraction, or to hammer the AI endpoints in a way that degrades the service for others. Automated testing of your own account is fine; abuse is not.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that practice on the site will produce any particular outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date below, and significant changes will be announced in the product. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Ontario, Canada. This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights you have in your jurisdiction.
